Coconut Turmeric Golden Milk recipes

Ingredients
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons turmeric powder or 1 inch piece of turmeric peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger or 1/2 inch piece ginger peeled and sliced
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground peppercorn
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients into a pot and whisk over low heat until hot.
  2. If using cinnamon stick and/or fresh sliced turmeric and ginger, strain out pieces. 
  3. Pour into 2 mugs and enjoy! 
  4. Can be stored in an airtight container and saved for up to 5 days. Rewarm before serving as it's best hot.

Golden Milk is an ancient medicinal drink, best known in Ayurveda. The main ingredient - turmeric - has also been extensively studied for its medicinal properties in modern medicine. Anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants, this mildly spicy and earthy drink is delightfully soothing and delicious.
